At $1300, EXOdesk Goes Below the “Surface”
Shown at CES with a price tag of $1300, the EXOdesk platform and its big touch-screen interface could create a major disruption to Microsoft’s plans with its premium Surface model with horizontally-employed touchscreen technology. On the 36” screen show on the Viewsonic stand at CES, you can pop open a virtual keyboard and access apps like piano instruction—as well as find desktop shortcuts, check the weather, and write directly on the screen. You can run the EXOdesk with Mac, PC, or pretty much any other OS. Read more

IK Multimedia’s SampleTank 1.1 for iOS is now available as a universal app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, through the iTunes App store. The update, for both regular and free versions, is available as a free download to existing users and also adds a 4-track MIDI recorder, a new beat-making interface, an expanded set of instruments and patterns, more compatibility with third party docks and much more.
